Editorial Meh
Shapeshifter is a text-heavy deduction game with an interesting core loop: you play a female shapeshifter trying to seduce the King by transforming into other women and learning his preferences through gossip and observation. The concept is solid and players who engage with it report enjoying the puzzle-like gameplay and the novelty of the premise. However, the build needs substantial work. Multiple reviewers hit unfinished dead-end areas, broken dialogue logic (variables not properly tracked, contradictory King preferences), a tiny window that makes play difficult, untranslated code tags visible in-game, and pervasive spelling errors that undermine a game designed around careful text-reading. The developer is actively patching, but this still feels early-stage; expect 20–30 minutes of play with only two sex scenes currently implemented. Worth revisiting once it's more polished, but current form is rough.
