College Traits is an enjoyable sandbox corruption sim with engaging mechanics—the appeal lies in incrementally shaping characters toward your goal. However, the game is plagued by bugs that undermine the experience: suspicion decay doesn't work, phone icons disappear after certain events, and the lesbian-voyeurism system bypasses intended stealth checks. The mechanics themselves need refinement too; suspicion gain is mathematically overwrought and poorly explained, the blackmail system lacks clarity, and character personalities feel thin—both Rogue and Gwen lack distinct traits beyond cosmetics, making their presence in a college setting feel arbitrary rather than integrated. The writing suffers from stilted dialogue due to sparse contractions, though some players find the core loop addictive enough to overlook these issues. Community opinion is divided: some enjoy the grind, while others find the balancing tedious and mechanics opaque. A stable build with better UI feedback and character differentiation would elevate this considerably.
