Editorial Has potential
Maiden of Ruin is an unfinished sandbox adventure with strong character-driven content and branching stat systems that players genuinely enjoy—when they can access it. The game suffers from a persistent disconnect between its systems: questlines lock behind unclear stat thresholds, puzzle solutions aren't intuitive, and key events (glory hole, Lucia encounter, Cultist Connection progression) fail silently or become inaccessible without community-crowdsourced walkthroughs. The core writing and premise earn player investment, but the experience is frustratingly gated. The build itself is playable but mid-development: multiple quest chains have missing content or aftermath, time-advancement bugs exist, and progression loops trap players. The developer is active and responsive, but current readiness doesn't match the creative promise.
