Editorial Meh
Reverse Isekai is an early-build fantasy adult visual novel in which otherworldly characters arrive in the protagonist's world rather than the other way around. The premise generates some amusement among players, and the elven character designs — particularly the milf-and-daughter pair — earn genuine praise. That said, creative criticism is real: several reviewers note that meaningful choice is almost entirely absent. The game functions more as a kinetic novel, and skipping a scene does not change story events, meaning players who dislike a character still have to sit through whatever happens to them narratively. One recurring concern is the cheating/NTR-adjacent tagging, which will be a hard pass for part of the audience — worth knowing before you start. As a v0.1 release, content is limited to roughly 30–50 minutes on a fresh run, with only a handful of scenes. The build appears functional on Windows, but the game is clearly in the very early stages of development, with voice acting and a relationship tracker both absent. Community feedback is mostly surface-level at this point, so deeper impressions will have to wait for future updates.
