Editorial Has potential
Chasing Shadows is an early-stage sequel to the well-received Chasing Tail, carrying forward the same character-customization (gender, species, name) and adult-content formula with a focus on open-world exploration and branching narrative. Community enthusiasm is strong—fans praise the art style, 3D graphics, character writing (particularly the "himbo" Lenznth), and the developer's willingness to take constructive criticism. However, the current build is decidedly unfinished. Players report persistent bugs: mushroom collision blocking progression, trigger zones requiring manual clicks to activate, missing text (species name rendering as "guyPlayer speciesman"), NPCs with no interaction feedback, and frame-rate lag in the exploration sections. The developer acknowledges the game is a "teaser" at best, with writing and character art still mid-development, and new releases have been repeatedly delayed. For those invested in the series, the creative vision is worth watching; for newcomers, the rough state and incomplete story mean waiting for a more advanced build is advisable.
