Editorial Has potential
Monster Slayer is an early-access fantasy adventure that has players genuinely invested in its branching narrative and character development, particularly in the relationship with the protagonist Azri 'Elis. The writing and choice-driven mechanics impress most reviewers, who praise how decisions feel consequential and shape the story's multiple endings. However, the game suffers from a consistent pattern of bugs—double-charging at the merchant, locked dialogue options, broken quest rewards, and progression blockers—that frustrate even enthusiastic players. Combined with the trial-and-error nature of stat checks (most players want a guide or stat tracker to avoid restarting entirely), the current build feels unfinished despite strong creative bones. The developer is responsive and actively patching, but the frequency of technical issues suggests the release needs more polish before the solid writing and character work can fully shine.
