Editorial Has potential
Yuri no Sutoka is a school-based yuri visual novel with a dark, predatory premise—players navigate romance and survival encounters with a persistently pursuing character. The writing and concept engage its niche audience, and multiple endings reward exploration, but the game is hampered by persistent, reproducible bugs that undermine playability: floor-mapping errors that strand players in wrong rooms, softlocks during key story moments, freeze crashes on Android when struck, and broken event triggers in critical story scenes. Developer engagement with bug reports is genuine but slow; patches are promised but not consistently delivered. For players willing to tolerate a rough technical state, there's a complete experience to find, but expect frustration and likely multiple restarts to progress. The game's content is intentionally transgressive and won't appeal to all tastes—the premise centers on a character's violent, unwanted pursuit—but it's delivered coherently for those it's designed for. Community feedback is sparse and divided between those who appreciate the dark concept and those put off by it or stalled by bugs.
