Editorial Worth it
Slime Feet is a short (30–40 minute) visual novel about two people in a long-distance relationship—one of whom is dying from a progressive, incurable condition—told primarily through intimate text messages and scientific logs. The writing is raw and deliberately styled (typos, lowercase, fragmented), and it works: the overwhelming consensus is that this is an emotionally devastating masterpiece. Players consistently report crying, finding unexpected depths in what begins as erotic content, and being moved by the vulnerability of the characters and the existential weight of impending loss. A handful of dissenters wanted more explicit fetish content or found the sexting writing style off-putting, but these are minority voices; the game's emotional impact and craft are nearly universally praised. Fair warning: this is sadness by design, and it lands.
