Under the Red Light

Kuroda Shashinkan is a narrative-driven photography management sim set in the quiet Tokyo neighborhood of Akabashi. You inherit your grandfather Tetsuo's old portrait studio along with mounting debts, and must keep the business afloat by running photo shoots, developing film in the darkroom, and selling your work. Manage relationships with studio visitors Aoi, Rika, Natsuki, and Yuki through conversations, dates, and gifts. Every Sunday the bank demands payment; miss three and you lose everything. Beneath the day-to-day studio operations lies a deepening mystery: your grandfather vanished years ago, his old assistant refuses to talk, a basement door remains locked, and a man in a suit has begun appearing at your door. Explore the living neighborhood with its cafe, convenience store, and camera shop, while uncovering secrets about what really happened. The game blends life-sim mechanics, photography minigames, and narrative intrigue.
