Editorial Meh
Cuttlefish presents a netorase premise—a couple testing their relationship by dating other people—with charming art and genuinely solid dialogue writing. The core concept has merit and intrigues players hungry for this niche genre, which sees few quality entries. However, the execution stumbles badly: sex arrives far too abruptly (on a first date between anxious characters), undermining the slow-burn tension that could make the fantasy work, and the game feels painfully short even for an early build. Technically, the current version is rough—stuttering, text rendering issues, and broken event loops plague the experience. The community is divided between those who see potential and those burned by the developer's track record of abandoned projects; patience seems warranted, but the game needs substantial work on both pacing and stability before it's worth anyone's time.
