Editorial Meh
Covenant of Morn comes from the developer behind the well-regarded MIST, and that pedigree is both its biggest draw and its heaviest burden. A substantial share of reviews are less about this game on its own terms and more about how it stacks up against its predecessor — and the consensus is that it falls short, with many fans of MIST finding the story, characters, and overall feel less compelling. That said, a smaller but genuine contingent appreciates what the game is doing: an actual point-and-click sandbox with mystery elements, attractive renders, and a cast that some players connect with warmly. A notable undercurrent in the community concerns an early creative pivot away from femdom-heavy content; one thoughtful observer worries the dev compromised their original vision under audience pressure, which may have diluted the game's identity. The femdom elements that remain mean the game isn't for every harem fan, but they are also precisely what draws others to it — a matter of taste rather than craft. Unfortunately, the developer appears to have abandoned the project, which casts a shadow over everything. The build at its last released state (v0.5.1) was functional and adding content steadily, but the game never reached a conclusion. Players who might otherwise give it a chance are left weighing whether an incomplete, seemingly shelved sandbox is worth their time — and many are choosing to pass.
