Editorial Has potential
The Villain Simulator is a VR-focused adult sandbox with substantial effort invested in animation, graphics, and feature depth—character customization, fluid physics, environmental interaction, and multiple control schemes. The community genuinely values what's here and the dev's active engagement with feedback. However, the build is actively rough: VR mode suffers repeated freezes and controller interaction failures across headsets; desktop players report invisible characters, geometry glitches, broken equipment placement, and save-state corruption; Mac support has been dropped; and the itch version consistently lags behind Patreon builds by several betas, creating a two-tier user experience. Many recent buyers express frustration at being stuck in the opening area unable to proceed. The game is playable in stretches but plagued by showstopping bugs that block progression for a meaningful share of players.
