The Resort is a new release from "Oldboy," the developer also known for Plowed and Husk, and appears to be a spin-off or special episode in the same universe, centered on a thicc/MILF-type protagonist. Community feedback is extremely thin on substantive critique: a handful of fans are enthusiastic and praise the dev's output, while a vocal group find the character design — described as morbidly obese rather than curvy — deeply off-putting. The content-fit divide here is stark and genuine: this is clearly a niche fetish title, and whether it works for you depends almost entirely on whether that aesthetic appeals. Beyond taste disputes, the most consistent criticism isn't about the game itself but about the developer juggling multiple projects simultaneously (Husk, Holiday Home Wrecker, and now this), raising questions about focus and update cadence.
