Shared Desires

Editorial Worth it

Shared Desires is a kinetic visual novel (no player choices) centered on a couple—Helen and James—exploring swinging and consensual sharing dynamics together. The developer has been transparent from the start: no NTR, no cheating, no femdom or cuckolding. Community sentiment is largely positive, with players praising the high-quality renders, animations, and the refreshing focus on mutual exploration rather than betrayal or humiliation. Some players explicitly appreciate the absence of NTR in a sharing game, calling it rare and well-executed; others note the linear structure isn't for them, but respect the dev's clear positioning. The story is described as moving nicely with meaningful character moments. Development has been steady—Episodes 1–4 released on a two-month cycle—though the developer recently disclosed that Episode 5 will be the last under that schedule; future episodes may take 8–9 months as they return to part-time work unless funding reaches 125–150 Patreon supporters. Early feedback is warm and anticipatory, with few substantive criticisms of the work itself beyond one or two players noting the kinetic format and scene distribution aren't their preference.
