Community feedback on Tempest as a creative work is thin — nearly all discussion has been consumed by distribution controversy rather than the game itself. The handful of genuine impressions are mixed: one player appreciated the unconventional narrative opening that follows side characters before the main protagonist arrives, but found the pacing slow and the long wait for the player character frustrating. Multiple commenters also noticed that the screenshots suggest several male characters sharing scenes with women, which may or may not suit every reader's tastes. The thread has been dominated by an ongoing dispute between the developer and the platform over NSFW content being withheld behind a Patreon paywall, moderator conflicts over thread ownership, and broken or missing extra-content files for some players. A rollback/crash error has also been reported mid-playthrough. With so little genuine feedback on the writing, art, or characters, it is difficult to render a confident verdict — but what little exists suggests an uneven early impression.
