Editorial Has potential
Revenge of Yagiri finally reached full release after a lengthy development, and players appreciate the completed package—particularly the multiple endings tied to sparing rather than killing enemies, which adds strategic depth to combat. However, the build remains rough around the edges: platform collision bugs force replay runs, performance stutters despite modest on-screen activity, and several features (gallery, boss mode unlock clarity) are either missing or poorly documented. The core creative work—level design, encounter mechanics, and the spare/kill branching—lands solidly for its niche audience, but the execution needs polish. Community feedback is mixed: some celebrate finally having a full game to play, while others note the three-year final-boss cycle left little new content and wish the developers would prioritize stability and QoL features over abandoning the project.
