Project Exilium: Breeding Protocol is an early-stage Slay the Spire-inspired deckbuilder with pregnancy and breeding themes. The core deck mechanics show promise—players appreciate the power level and strategic foundation—but the build is marred by significant bugs (vanishing deck cards, broken card costs, uncontrolled card recasting, missing UI explanations) that undermine playability. Visually, character sprites overlap during dialogue, making it hard to tell who is speaking; critical mechanics like "Afterglow" and "Confusion" go unexplained; and the sexual content (AI-generated, mostly static card art and cut-ins) feels disconnected from the story and gameplay. The game is also a spiritual successor to the developer's previous title, sharing characters and similar scope—a pattern some players worry signals lack of focus. For those tolerant of bugs and AI art in an early release, the deckbuilding foundation is solid enough to watch; everyone else should wait for stability and clarity to improve.
