Editorial Has potential
Dark Times is a fantasy adult RPG in active development, currently rebuilt as a standalone relaunch that strips away its predecessor's bloat. The community is engaged with the developer directly, discussing combat balance tweaks, cosmetic customization, and story progression—particularly around a massage-parlor quest chain and romantic encounters with named characters. The game runs stably enough for most players, though some hit friction: momentum regeneration in the new combat system can trap players (particularly against Shadows with the spear), and minor quest-line bugs (food not healing, NPC encounter triggers) occur. These are being actively addressed. The creative foundation is solid—players want more of what's there (cosmetics, character routes, branching scenes)—but the build is visibly mid-development: placeholder assets, unpolished code branches being shared for feedback, and incomplete story arcs. For players patient with an evolving game and interested in its dark-fantasy setting and slow-burn character routes, it's worth following; for those needing a finished experience, wait for a later milestone.
