Editorial Has potential
Princess Loves Slime is a challenging pixel platformer with solid art and animation that rewards skill and precision—but its current build is rough, and its design philosophy divides players sharply. The core frustration is the double-jump mechanic, which only activates while falling; many players report inputs not registering, wonky behavior on moving platforms, and a control feel that works against instinct rather than with it. The level design itself is pixel-perfect demanding, with no margin for error, which some find rewarding and others find exhausting. Beyond gameplay, the game has a critical technical flaw: resolution changes cause the window to turn black on certain setups, leaving some players unable to play at all. The creator is responsive and aware of these issues, but the current v1.0 state needs work before it's comfortable to recommend even to hardcore platformer fans.
