Ploy Co. presents an intriguing premise—sabotage coworkers via trap combos to gather blackmail—but stumbles badly in execution. The game suffers from severe design and balance problems: NPCs are drastically overtuned (interns snap at a touch; everyone else requires grinding through dozens of repeated traps), the tutorial teaches false expectations, and core mechanics like infamy are poorly explained or bugged. Many players report not being able to anger non-intern staff at all, and those who do describe it as tedious busywork rather than fun puzzle-solving. The narrow video window for intimate scenes kills immersion, and content is sparse—only 7 scenes total across the gallery. While the art and animations are competent, and the Hitman-like combo loop has promise, the game feels more like an incomplete alpha than a finished product, especially given its comparison to the developer's stronger prior work (Salvor Deep). A handful of patches have addressed some issues, but fundamental design problems remain unresolved. For $5 on a deep discount, the crafting and trap-setting loop might engage niche players willing to tolerate frustration. For most, it reads as undercooked potential and a disappointing step backward.
