Editorial Meh
Parasite Infection 2 is a mechanics-driven adult game where you play as a parasitic entity spreading infestation and mindbreak across NPCs. Recent updates (1.34+) have added a male alternate start, fixed several crashes, and introduced new characters and skill-tree overhauls — welcome polish for an actively developed title. However, the core complaint is consistent: compared to the first game's management-sim depth, this sequel plays more like a kinetic visual novel with minimal, poorly-designed mechanics. Skill abilities can be unlocked but remain unusable in earlier versions; the gameplay loop feels thin and unfinished. The community is divided on art (taste-dependent) but united that mechanical substance has regressed. If you're drawn to the premise and parasitic transformation fantasy, the active development and recent fixes make it playable; if you valued the original's strategic systems, this will disappoint.
