Editorial Has potential
Chemically Defined is a male-corruption visual novel with ambitious character routes and genuinely engaging power-fantasy content — players praise the submissive male transformation arcs and appreciate the appeal of watching characters degrade. However, the game is hampered by a significant persistent bug affecting story progression: multiple reviewers report that advancing certain character routes (particularly Kerrion's) causes the time-of-day system to break, freezing interactions and locking choices, sometimes requiring hours of replaying to recover. There are also scattered progression blockers, weak in-game guidance forcing trial-and-error, and platform stability issues (crashes on startup reported). The experience is playable and the creative core has merit for its audience, but technical friction and poor onboarding undercut the payoff.
