City of Secrets is an ambitious RPG with possession-swap mechanics, character routes, and dungeon progression that players genuinely enjoy—recent reviews praise the art direction and creative writing. However, the current build is rough around the edges: skill-equipping bugs plague multiple platforms (Android especially), Android's joystick input breaks with non-default zoom settings, rendering glitches cause white-screen softlocks on Linux, the Mac version won't launch, and unimplemented features (casino, language translations) litter the menus. The community is patient and engaged, offering workarounds in the forums, but this is clearly mid-development. If you can tolerate these friction points and don't mind consulting a walkthrough for opaque puzzle codes, the creative core is worth the trouble; if you want a polished, feature-complete experience, wait for a later build.
