Editorial Has potential
Once Again is a stylish visual novel with solid writing, compelling characters, and high-quality renders that has built genuine player affection. The core appeal—a branching romance with multiple love interests, strong character work, and an intriguing mystery plot—lands well for its audience. However, the project is severely hamstrung by chronic artist turnover. The developer has cycled through multiple artists over years of development, each departing for different reasons (pay, communication misalignment, conflicting visions, outside commitments). This has created a grinding, visible pattern: updates are infrequent and the roadmap keeps slipping (Summer 2025 → Summer 2026 now anticipated). The community remains engaged and patient, but frustration about the glacial pace is real. The game is playable and the writing continues, but the build is incomplete and substantial content remains unfinished—this is a long-term project in active development, not a near-final product.
