Editorial Meh
Novice Sister Leticia is a short run-and-gun adult game (20–30 minutes) built around loss-condition H-scenes. The pixel art and animations draw consistent praise, and players who enjoy the heroine-loss genre find the gallery of illustrations worthwhile; the ending's absurdist humor—a nun with a rifle—lands well. However, the creative work is undermined by significant gameplay flaws: combat is frustrating, enemy hitboxes are unreliable, certain boss encounters (especially the final tentacle nun) are considered unfair, and the game actively discourages engagement with its own systems (players report walking past enemies is the optimal strategy). The build suffers from reproducible bugs—invisible character / enemy rendering, softlocks on key acquisition, black screens on startup for some—that affect multiple players and require workarounds or save reloads. For its niche audience and as a debut project, the art carries it; for anyone seeking polished gameplay or a stable first run, the friction is real.
