Editorial Has potential
No Socks RPG is a charming, mechanics-rich adult RPG with genuinely impressive original creature design, a killer soundtrack, and vibrant pixel art that draws players in for the gameplay as much as the content. Combat uses timed attacks to stay engaging, and there's real substance here—a complete game with multiple routes, bosses, and a 100-floor tower challenge. However, the game struggles badly with usability. Navigation is confusing (paths blend into scenery, no quest log or map), leaving players frequently lost and frustrated; mobile controls are clunky, especially for stat allocation; and there's a serious save-corruption bug that can wipe all progress. An easy mode helps with early difficulty spikes, but the core design issues remain. Beautiful and lovingly made, but rough around the edges and occasionally broken.
