Editorial Has potential
Near To Ruin is an early-stage adult game with solid character art and a promising premise that has drawn cautiously optimistic first impressions. The community is genuinely interested in where the developer takes this—particularly regarding branching content like cheating and NTR routes—but the current release is extremely light on playable material: roughly 56 images across a first episode with minimal mechanics and story progression. Feedback is divided less on quality and more on expectations: some players see potential worth following, while others feel the game was released far too early to generate momentum, let alone secure funding. The build itself appears stable enough to play, but there is frankly not much game here yet.
Description
Near To Ruin is a story-driven adult visual novel about temptation, emotional conflict, and gradual corruption. The narrative follows a young couple on vacation—where the female protagonist discovers that the trip meant to strengthen their relationship instead exposes her to unexpected desires, unfamiliar people, and emotional tension that test her loyalty. Your choices shape the story's direction, with paths ranging from a completely faithful, vanilla route to one where temptation gradually erodes her restraint. The game explores the idea that suppressing desire becomes harder once temptation takes hold, blending romance and sexual discovery through player agency.
