Editorial Has potential
The Alchemist's Debt has a promising premise—a chemist transported to a fantasy world, alchemy mechanics, and a narrative framing that appeals to manhwa and light novel fans. The visuals are cohesive and well-executed. However, the game is clearly released far too early. The carpenter's area is severely bugged with missing images and broken NPC interactions, quest logic breaks (sequences can be completed out of order with no guidance), and progression becomes unclear or stuck without trial and error. The build needs substantial polish before it's playable for most players. Beyond the bugs, there's genuine confusion in the community about content direction—specifically around NTR. The game's vague tagging has sparked heated debate among players with conflicting content preferences, some demanding an upfront blocker for NTR, others worried about harem routes hijacking a vanilla story. The developer's intended scope remains unclear, and this lack of transparency is breeding frustration. The core design shows promise, but it needs finishing work and clearer content signposting before it's ready.
