Editorial Don't bother
Lust in Space is a short space-themed visual novel with sexual content, completable in roughly an hour. The creative work itself is decidedly mixed: while it has a nominal sci-fi plot and distinct heroines, reviewers consistently cite a chaotic, rushed story that moves too fast and cannot be influenced by player choice, along with mediocre character development. The game features 8 animated sex scenes (about 2 per heroine) that some find passable but others describe as lacking in quantity and quality, with character models having a mannequin-like quality. Gameplay consists mainly of clicking through dialogue with occasional forgettable mini-games. The most damaging criticism is widespread: the English translation is described as abysmal—apparently machine-translated from Russian, with objects misgendered as "he/him", the main McGuffin called four different names in succession, and dialogue so awkward it makes the story actively unenjoyable. One reviewer notes the first major element called Melonium is inconsistently named "Melonii", "Melonia", and "Meloniy" in rapid sequence. Reviewers note this is the weakest entry from the publisher compared to prior titles. A small number of 5-star reviews exist (some appear low-effort or spam), but the overwhelming majority of detailed feedback is sharply negative. For achievement hunters or those specifically seeking cheap erotic content, it may have minimal value at heavy discount; for anyone seeking engaging sci-fi or quality adult storytelling, this should be skipped.
