Editorial Worth it
Projekt: Passion Season 1 is a sci-fi visual novel that succeeds precisely because it refuses to choose between story and spectacle. Community consensus is strong and clear: players came for the sex scenes but stayed for surprisingly solid writing, likeable characters with genuine personality, and comedic timing that actually lands. The narrative balances absurdist humour, action, romance, and drama without collapsing under its own ambition—a genuine achievement in a genre often content to coast on visuals alone. The 3D models are well-crafted and expressive; the 19 animated sex scenes are well-integrated into story beats rather than interrupt them; and the soundtrack adds real atmosphere. A few minor complaints surface (some voice acting lacks punch, character models occasionally blur together, the story is fairly linear), but they barely register against the overwhelming appreciation for a game that feels like a genuine passion project. At roughly 6–7 hours per playthrough, it's meaty enough to justify the price, especially on sale.
