Editorial Has potential
Leather and Madness Club: Through the Portal is a bara-style adult RPG blending Lovecraftian atmosphere with a large cast of romanceable men, and the handful of players who've dug into it seem genuinely charmed by the character work and world — the developer's knack for personality-driven NPCs and witty item names carries over from their previous title. The content is squarely gay-male-focused (top/bottom choice has been asked about), with BDSM and eldritch flavour woven throughout, so it's clearly built for a specific audience that seems to appreciate it. That said, the community consensus is that the current build is rough around the edges in several ways: excessive grinding is the single loudest complaint, random battles rely heavily on RNG that no preparation can fully offset, and the Android version has HUD and font scaling issues. There are also reports of file-name extraction errors on Windows, a broken third-party auto-translation workaround, and at least one note from the developer that the uploaded version may not be the latest. A dedicated player community has formed around sharing save-edit tricks and gift guides to bypass the grind, which speaks to engagement — but also to how steep the friction is.
