Description
Kibō is a narrative-driven RPG made in RPG Maker MV that explores themes of corruption and moral compromise in a modern urban setting. You play as a married man navigating a city rife with temptation and deviant influence, facing psychological and emotional challenges that test both his integrity and his marriage. The first arc, "Slow Fall," follows his journey as he encounters three main characters whose intentions and impact on his fate remain ambiguous.
The game emphasizes player choice and consequence, with branching paths that lead toward different outcomes depending on your decisions. Central themes include infidelity, voyeurism, submission, and the social dynamics of corruption spreading through the city. The narrative is designed to be immersive, incorporating multiple perspectives and expanding beyond the protagonist's viewpoint as the story unfolds. Story progression is marked by psychological tension rather than traditional heroic beats.
