Editorial Meh
Damned City: Quarantine is an ambitious real-porn RPG with strong writing and an engaging male protagonist, but it struggles with both design clarity and unfinished execution. The core appeal — a post-apocalyptic survival story with multiple character routes and genuine branching — resonates with players who praise the humor and character work. However, the game suffers from significant friction: quest design is obtuse (players routinely miss objectives), NTR content is baked into survival mechanics in ways that feel narratively inconsistent rather than intentional (the sister offering sexual favors despite multiple income sources), and Chapter 3 remains incomplete. Technical bugs compound the issues — scene transitions can soft-lock, exploration can trap you in unintended sequences, and combat mechanics feel half-baked. The dev has abandoned this title to pursue a new engine, leaving players mid-story. For those patient enough to navigate the design quirks and willing to use guides, there's a solid game here; for everyone else, it's a frustrating mix of good ideas and rough execution.
