Editorial Has potential
Incubus Genesis is an ambitious RPG Maker puzzle-combat game with striking art direction and a creative battle system that rewards learning each character's specific mechanics—finding the right skill or approach for each fight rather than just grinding stats. The appeal lies in its experimental design: discovering how to seduce different characters through tactical play, uncovering hidden scenes and transformations, and the developer's transparent, engaged iteration with the community. The game is very much in active development. Recent builds fix softlock bugs (particularly with the Submit system and Sakura scenes), but players consistently report incomplete content: missing story completions (Claar's route unfinished, endgame transitions rough), a confusing map that breaks immersion, and Android installation friction. Install issues persist (missing game.exe in some extracts), and the current state is closer to "playable alpha" than finished release. For the right audience—players who enjoy collaborative puzzle-discovery and don't mind mid-development jank—it's worth exploring; for those wanting polish, wait for v1.0.
