Editorial Has potential
I Fantasized Again is a time-management SLG with strong character art and X-ray CG work that lands well for its audience—static scenes, but plentiful and detailed. However, the game suffers from severe usability problems: the tutorial button does not work, there is no in-game guidance on core mechanics, and the UI is described as crude. Critically, the base game requires a massive patch (2.6 GB vs. 500 MB base) to access the sexual content and a built-in guide; without it, many players hit dead ends and feel lost. Even after patching, some encounter softlock bugs (menus disappearing after reaching study milestones) and black-screen crashes on new-game start. Opinion divides sharply: players who invest time to understand the grind-heavy 60-day date sim and obtain the patch praise the character writing and CG quality as worthwhile; others find the gameplay loop tedious, the initial experience baffling, and the friction of installation unreasonable for a released title. The core creative work—art, writing, and character routes—is genuinely valued by its niche, but the broken onboarding and unfinished UX create a wall that many hit before discovering it.
