Editorial Has potential
Holy Avatar is a Japanese RPG with adult content that has solid creative bones but struggles with a notoriously poor machine translation and a rough, unfinished build. The core game design—blending dungeon crawling, boss battles, crafting, and narrative progression—draws genuine interest, and players who engage with it report satisfaction with the story and H-content integration. However, the translation is the dominant complaint: untranslated menu options, dialogue gibberish (stemming from duplicate-letter parsing in the source dump), and critical UI failures make progression confusing and frustrating. Technical issues compound this—softlocks on map transitions, crashes during events, and skill-system confusion (greyed-out abilities in boss fights, conflicting level displays) suggest the build is mid-development or poorly ported. The game has received multiple patches (up to 1.0.3.1) addressing bugs, but most players seem stuck on older versions. If you can tolerate a rough translation and are willing to experiment with workarounds, there's a functional game underneath; otherwise, wait for a better localization or fan-patch effort.
