Editorial Has potential
Hentai Dungeon is a deck-building roguelike that players genuinely enjoy for its core loop and potential. The card-battler mechanics are sound—exponential buffs create satisfying power scaling, and the animations are well-received. However, the game is clearly unfinished. It suffers from real bugs (softlocks, broken treasure choices, missing H-scene visuals on some enemies), lacks basic onboarding (no tutorial or card tooltips), and feels sparse—only one level, minimal story context, missing gallery mode, and limited enemy variety. The developer is responsive and actively fixing issues, which is encouraging. Player opinions on content split fairly: most praise the cute art and mechanics, though some expected more interactivity or dialogue for characters, and a small subset wanted more NSFW variety (e.g., gay monster options, toggle for specific encounters). The futa succubus appears to have surprised some players unfamiliar with it. These are preference divides, not quality failures. The real blocker is technical stability and incompleteness—several players report crashes or unplayable states, and the Android build has install issues across multiple devices. For a short, simple game with solid ideas, it has promise; right now, it's a rough draft.
