Editorial Has potential
Helminth is an early-access fantasy RPG with a strong artistic vision—players consistently praise the character art and the core loop of recruiting NPCs to a temple and progressing intimate scenes with patrons. The setting and premise have captured genuine enthusiasm. However, the build is riddled with bugs that block progression: black screens in multiple areas (mining cave, tower), farming crashes, stuck-in-place scenarios, broken UI elements (missing timer, non-functional menu items), and terrain glitches. The developer is actively patching and communicating, but the current version is too unstable for a smooth playthrough. A few balance quirks (overpowered early equipment, infinite berry bushes, money duplications) suggest the game is still mid-development. If you enjoy the artwork and can tolerate frequent stopping to report bugs or restart, there's promise here; otherwise, wait for a more stable release.
