Editorial Meh
Heavenly Vows, Hellish Temptations pursues an ambitious premise—a supernatural cuckold narrative set between heaven and hell—with genuinely appealing art and a premise that drew interest from its niche audience. However, the game's creative execution has lost direction: the promised slow-burn corruption and player agency have given way to what players describe as rushed, dev-driven fetish escalation that abandons the setup. The resistance path leads to a dead end; choices feel performative; and the wife's fall to infidelity is justified through lazy misogyny ("women are like that") rather than earned narrative. For dedicated NTR enthusiasts into male humiliation and gay undertones, this may land; for those seeking the corruption fantasy the early game advertised, it's become a frustration. The build itself is playable but rough: save corruption on updates, the removed skip button creating excessive replays, and gallery issues suggest mid-development churn despite the 0.8 version number.
