Editorial Has potential
Harem Kingdoms is an early-access sandbox RPG with genuine promise but real friction points. The core premise—building a harem across multiple towns with branching relationship routes—appeals to its niche, and players praise the character designs and potential of the RPG system. However, the game struggles with unfinished presentation: parts of the UI and farming mechanics remain in Spanish only, quest navigation is opaque (doors aren't labeled, sandbox exploration is disorienting), and save compatibility breaks between versions. The developer is active and responsive in Spanish-language discussions, but English-speaking players hit a wall. Some also find the Aoi character arc (revenge-themed) mandatory and conceptually divisive—critics want it skippable or have specific revenge fantasies the game doesn't promise to deliver. For players patient with early-access roughness and comfortable with in-development pacing, there's enough character charm and systems depth to engage with; for others, it's too unpolished and unclear to recommend yet.
