Editorial Has potential
Folie Quest is a niche bad-end collector with transformation/petrification fetish content as its core appeal—a game that knows exactly what it is and will land hard for its audience, but nowhere else. The RPG framework is functional and occasionally decent (exploration, puzzles, a workable magic system), but serves mainly as scaffolding for the fetish gallery; the art is admitted to be mediocre, and the writing, while competent, is window-dressing. Community opinion is sharply divided: those who came for the specific content find value; those who didn't find little reason to stay. The current build has a serious problem: the final boss crashes with a type error on many systems, though a workaround exists (clicking a hidden blank space to unlock new magic). Language support is also unclear ("English (???)" in the UI). For its niche audience willing to overlook the build issues, it delivers; for everyone else, it's a straightforward skip.
