Fixing the Birthrates is a very early proof-of-concept (v0.1, released days ago) for a cyberpunk dystopian VN about a government program pairing men with women to reverse population collapse. The renders are photorealistic and polished; players praise the worldbuilding, character chemistry, and premise. However, there is almost no sexual or romantic content yet—the current build is essentially narrative setup and character introduction. Most complaints center on brevity and lack of intimacy scenes rather than what's there being poorly made. The dev has been active on Patreon (last update ~10 days ago) and engaged in the community, outlining plans for pregnancy mechanics, accelerated 2–3 month timelines, and a focus on two female characters in this first installment. Opinion divides on game design: some want faster content loops and less story padding; others worry the accelerated pregnancy and short timeline undermine the serious dystopian tone. The core creative idea is solid, but readiness-wise, this is plainly a very early WIP.
