Fear of the Dark

In the near future, a portal to the void has opened somewhere in the world, unleashing monsters that rampage across populated areas. Humanity responds by building villages around the portal's perimeter and creating cyborg soldiers using genetic material harvested from the monsters—the so-called "red eye"—to defend against attacks. Twenty years of relative stability pass, but the dormant void suddenly begins expanding again. The protagonist Rin must investigate the cause of this renewed threat and uncover the truth behind the portal's reactivation in order to save humanity from extinction. The game combines exploration, combat, and narrative-driven gameplay in a science-fiction setting where humanity's survival hangs in the balance.
