Editorial Meh
Dream Big 2 is a free jigsaw-puzzle game with adult renders: six short visual-novel stories that unlock progressively as you solve increasingly complex puzzles (up to 128 pieces). The appeal splits cleanly: players who want the content skip the puzzles entirely and jump to Story Mode, where all six narratives are available immediately; players genuinely interested in puzzle gameplay find the core mechanic frustrating—pieces lack borders and reshape themselves during movement, creating confusing tactile feedback. The renders are functional 3D work; the writing is sparse and mechanical. Audio (music) is praised as the strongest element. For a free release, the package is generous: 84 images, six stories, and no paywall. But the puzzle design feels amateurish (pieces tile in stretched 4×4 or 5×5 grids), and the game frankly works best as a gallery viewer that *happens* to have optional puzzles, not as a puzzle game. Community opinion is heavily polarized: one-star reviews call it tedious and hollow; five-star reviews appreciate the free access and explicit content, often comparing it favourably to spiritual predecessor Unravel Cyndy. Neither view is wrong—they're playing different games.
