Demon Watch: Eternal Vigil launched with a prologue that immediately divided its audience: the MC begins in an extremely submissive, beaten-down position — including a non-consensual scene — which many players found off-putting or demotivating, while a minority appreciated the underdog-arc setup. The core debate isn't really about quality but about content fit: those who dislike femdom and humiliation had no warning the game leaned that way, while fans of dominant women noted even they felt shortchanged by the lack of payoff for the MC. Art drew some genuine praise, and the premise sparked enough interest that several players wanted to see where it was going — but the combat balance also drew sharp criticism for feeling impossible and sluggish. Unfortunately, the project now appears to be abandoned. The developer went radio silent, their Patreon was closed, and their SubscribeStar shows zero activity. Community feedback is overwhelmingly early-build impressions of a single prologue chapter, so there is very little to judge as a complete creative work — what exists is a rough, contested first chapter with intriguing bones but deeply divisive content framing and no follow-through.
