Editorial Meh
Community feedback on Debt of Pleasure is thin and early, so take this with a grain of salt. The general first impression of the visual style is positive — several players call it "cool," "promising," and note a fun, cozy atmosphere — but a meaningful subset is convinced the art leans heavily on AI generation, with criticism that the creative effort behind it may be minimal. The developer acknowledges a hybrid workflow (hand-drawing in Clip Studio with AI refinement), which readers can weigh for themselves. As a current build, the game is clearly at a very early stage. Players hit a hard wall at day 30 with no apparent way forward, the website UI renders text illegibly, and at least one accessibility issue (colorblindness and a hidden UI element) has been flagged. There is little content to evaluate beyond a promising premise. Wait for a more developed version before diving in.
