Nymburg: A Hard Tale is an adult harem sandbox visual novel. After your village is attacked, you wake up in Nymburg, a city from your childhood, with your father missing and nowhere else to go. You reconnect with an old friend and begin meeting the city's residents, building relationships and uncovering mysteries about the surrounding area and your own past. The game focuses on exploration of the city and its surroundings, relationship-building with various characters, and involvement in their personal stories, with romantic and sexual encounters woven throughout the narrative.
