Blessings for the Chosen is an ambitious isekai RPG with a compelling setup: you're a reluctant hero cursed into feminine clothing, forced to build combat effectiveness through outfit choice and elemental synergies rather than leveling. The character writing is lively, the hand-drawn art is striking, and the branching dialogue rewards replay. However, the game struggles with identity and polish. Combat balance is inconsistent—some players breeze through while others hit hard walls on the Werewolf boss, often due to vague mechanics (the elemental system works, but isn't tutorialized) or resource scarcity that punishes early mistakes irreversibly. Puzzles are frequent and varied, but many frustrate more than engage: orb-color mismatches, tedious minigames, and collision bugs break momentum. The narrative stumbles on pacing—it over-explains some story beats while leaving critical systems opaque. Most damaging: the game simultaneously discourages combat (resources are scarce, no farming, one mistake can softlock you) and then *relies* on combat knowledge and lucky RNG to proceed. A difficulty option, better onboarding for the elemental system, resource checkpoints in dungeons, and collision polish would transform this from rough-around-the-edges to genuinely strong. The foundation is there; execution needs refinement.
