Editorial Has potential
Another Mask is a progression-focused adult game with solid character routes and real-world pacing that appeals to players seeking depth over quick thrills. However, the current build has significant structural problems: quest steps fail silently if triggered out of order, backing out of story scenes soft-locks progress, and dialogue/event flags don't always update correctly—issues that frustrate even patient players. Beyond bugs, the minigames (sparring, heist, driving) are widely considered tedious friction; many skip them via cheat codes when available. The developer is responsive to reports and iterating, but the game remains rough and punishing for anyone who deviates from the intended sequence.
Description
A story-driven sandbox adventure where the protagonist receives a mysterious phone call that sets him on a path to confront his past and resolve the chaos his father left behind. As he navigates the brutal realities of street life, he must decide whether to break under pressure or emerge stronger. The game features multiple destinations and interconnected characters, each with their own storylines. Player choices and quest completion shape the narrative's direction, with all paths ultimately converging toward a main ending. Gameplay combines dialogue, choice-driven narrative, and minigame elements across main story quests and side missions.
