Editorial Has potential
Zero to Harem Hero is an isekai-flavored RPG-maker game with a respectable cast of characters and a foundation of harem-building mechanics that clearly engages its audience. Players consistently praise the character writing and scenes, and the game receives regular updates. However, the game is severely hampered by recurring technical problems: frequent crashes and errors during sex scenes (particularly affecting Mira's second scene), random freezes during class changes that require multiple game resets to fix, FPS lag, and widespread video-playback failures across platforms (especially Linux and Wine). The underlying RPG systems are underdeveloped—class switching lacks meaningful strategic depth, enemy design offers no weaknesses to exploit, and progression feels grindy. The game is in active development (v0.2.3), but in its current state it is frustratingly unplayable for stretches; community members actively share workarounds (mod loaders, save editors) just to keep going. If you have patience for a rough build and can tolerate its bugs, the character and content appeal is there; otherwise, wait for stability to improve.
